Pesticide-Free Wasp Removal From a Working Beekeeper
Meet the team behind Northwest Ohio Wasp Removal, a Mindful Beekeeper company.
Northwest Ohio Wasp Removal offers pesticide-free wasp removal and humane bee relocation, and the person you talk to is the beekeeper who does the job. Most pest companies see every stinging insect as something to spray. We see the difference between a yellowjacket nest that has to go and a pollinator colony that deserves a second home, and we handle each one accordingly.

Meet Josh, Your Local Beekeeper
Owner, Mindful Beekeeper LLC
Josh moved back home to Ohio in 2020 to be near family. He started keeping honeybees, spent the next few years studying how colonies live and behave, and turned that knowledge into a bee and wasp removal service for Northwest Ohio.
Being a small, owner-run company has a clear benefit for you. You won’t be passed between departments or meet a stranger at your door. The beekeeper who answers your text is the same one who climbs the ladder, opens the soffit and carries the bees home. He knows your property and he answers for the result.
Beekeeping also shapes how the work gets done. Spending seasons inside hives teaches you how stinging insects defend a nest, when they are calm and what sets them off. That experience makes a removal safer for your family and gives the pollinators a real chance to survive it.

Why a Beekeeper Instead of an Exterminator?
Pest control companies carry a pesticide license because they spray chemicals. We don’t. Our methods are pesticide free, which is what allows beekeepers to provide this service without a pest control license. The nest gets physically taken out, so nothing is left to rot inside a wall or ceiling.

What Sets a Beekeeper-Run Company Apart
Four promises we keep on every job
No. 01
We Identify Before We Act
A honeybee, a bumblebee and a yellowjacket call for completely different responses. We confirm what is actually nesting before anything gets touched, and a photo is often enough.
No. 02
Pollinators Are Never Killed
Honeybees, bumblebees and native paper wasps are always humanely relocated. Rescued honeybees go into a beekeeper’s apiary instead of a trash bag.
No. 03
No Chemicals in Your Home
Dangerous nests such as yellowjackets, hornets and European paper wasps are physically extracted, not fogged. That means no residue near kids, pets or your garden.
No. 04
Honest Answers, Even When They’re Free
Some insects are harmless and best left alone. If that’s what you have, we’ll tell you so, and point you to our wasp, bee and hornet identification guide.

Honeybees Go to The Mindful Beekeeper
Our sister company, The Mindful Beekeeper, takes in rescued honeybee swarms and colonies, nurses them through an inspection station and adds them to its apiary, where they keep pollinating local gardens and farms. Honeybee relocation from structures is being scheduled for Spring 2027.

Questions People Ask a Beekeeper
Is pesticide-free removal safe around kids and pets?
That’s the main reason we work this way. No poisons are sprayed at your home, so there is no chemical residue left on decks, play areas or garden beds after the nest is gone.
Do you ever kill honeybees or bumblebees?
No. Honeybees, bumblebees and native paper wasps are always humanely relocated. Only nests that put people at risk, like yellowjackets, hornets and European paper wasps, are removed.
What if I can’t tell whether it’s a bee or a wasp?
Text a photo to 419-614-6445. Identifying the insect is the first thing we do, because the right plan depends entirely on what it is.
Can I just spray it or knock it down myself?
We’d steer you away from that. A bumped or sprayed nest is exactly what triggers a mass defense, and spray can drive yellowjackets farther into a wall. Our article on DIY wasp spray mistakes explains why.
Why don’t you need a pest control license?
Because we don’t apply pesticides. Our methods are pesticide free, which allows beekeepers to provide this service without a pest control license.
