Wasp and Hornet Nest Removal Without Pesticides
Our wasp and hornet nest removal service takes out the nests that put people at risk, and it does it without spraying poison around your home. Yellowjackets, bald-faced hornets, European hornets and European paper wasps are physically removed. Native paper wasps are moved instead, because they eat garden pests.
Because the nest itself comes out, nothing is left to rot inside a wall, a soffit or the ground. Send a photo first. Knowing the exact insect tells us how to handle it safely.

Which Wasps We Remove and Which We Move
Removed Without Pesticides
- Yellowjackets in walls, attics and the ground
- Bald-faced hornets and their big gray nests
- European hornets, the large wasps that fly at night
- European paper wasps, an introduced species
Always Relocated
- Native paper wasps, which hunt caterpillars
- Honeybees (see our honeybee removal page)
- Bumblebees
- Cicada killers moved away from foot traffic
Not sure which one you have? Our wasp, bee and hornet identification guide walks through the differences, and our page on native vs. European paper wasps explains why we save one and not the other.
Why Spray Often Makes Wall Nests Worse
A yellowjacket nest inside a wall can hold thousands of workers. Spraying the entrance usually kills only the wasps near the hole. The rest of the colony stays inside, and some chew a new way out, sometimes into the living space.
Taking the nest out ends the problem at the source. It also means there’s no dead nest left in the wall to smell or draw beetles. Read more in yellowjackets in your walls and why DIY wasp spray often backfires.

Wasp and Hornet Nest Removal FAQs
About Wasp and Hornet Nest Removal
Do you use any pesticides for wasp and hornet nest removal?
No. Nests are removed by hand or with a vacuum, and no poison is sprayed at your home. That is also why a beekeeper can do this work without a pesticide license.
Will you remove a paper wasp nest under my eaves?
It depends on the species. European paper wasps can be removed. Native paper wasps are relocated, because they help control garden pests. A clear photo usually tells us which one you have.
Can you take out a yellowjacket nest inside a wall?
Yes. We find where the nest sits and take it out, instead of spraying the entrance and leaving the colony inside. See signs of a hidden wall nest for what to watch for.
Is a hornet nest in a tree something to worry about?
Bald-faced hornets defend their nest hard, and a tree by a driveway, play set or doorway puts people close to it. If the nest is far from where anyone walks, it may be fine to leave. Send a photo and we’ll give you an honest answer.
Before You Call
What should I avoid doing before you arrive?
Don’t spray, plug the hole, mow over a ground nest or knock the nest down. Keep kids and pets back. Our guide to staying safe around nests has more tips.
How do I get a quote?
Text a photo and a short description of where the nest is to 419-614-6445. Quotes are free and done virtually from your photo.
