Wasp Removal Indiana: How Our Eastern Indiana Service Works
Our Bryan, OH Office sits near the corner where Ohio, Indiana and Michigan meet, and we take calls from Eastern Indiana as well as Northwest Ohio. If you’re searching for wasp removal Indiana help on the Ohio side of the state, here’s how it works, what to send us, and what to expect.
How Wasp Removal Indiana Calls Work
- Text a photo of the nest or entry point to 419-614-6445, plus your address or nearest crossroads.
- We identify the species from the photo and explain the plan before anyone arrives.
- We confirm we cover your location. Our service area page lists Eastern Indiana and Southern Michigan along with our Ohio counties.
- Removal or relocation follows the same rules we use in Ohio.
What to Include in Your Text
- A photo from a distance. You don’t need to get close. See found a wasp nest? what to do.
- Where the nest is: eave, deck, wall gap, ground, tree, shed or barn.
- How long you’ve seen activity.
- Whether anyone in the home has a sting allergy. See emergency wasp removal and sting allergies.
Same Approach on Both Sides of the Line
- No pesticides. Yellowjacket, bald-faced hornet, European hornet and European paper wasp nests are removed by hand or vacuum.
- Native paper wasps are relocated. Clemson Extension notes their young are fed insects such as caterpillars.
- Honeybees are always relocated, never exterminated. See honeybee removal.
- Bumblebees are relocated, too.
- Cicada killers are moved away from foot traffic. See cicada killer relocation.
- Opossums that are injured, orphaned or trapped are taken to a licensed rehabber. See opossum rescue.
Common Nests on Rural Properties
Much of the area near the state line is farm country. OSU Extension HYG-2075 notes yellowjacket nests are built in animal burrows, mulch piles, rotted tree trunks, wall voids and ceilings, and UC IPM notes paper wasps build open-celled nests under eaves. See wasp nests in sheds and barns, European hornets in Ohio and Indiana and the wasp season guide for Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.
Before We Arrive
Don’t spray, plug the hole, mow over a ground nest or knock the nest down. Keep kids and pets back. See staying safe around nests.
